Coronavirus Update

Although at the time of writing, we in Scotland remain in “lockdown “, Reel is ready in all respects to help any clients wanting to come to Scotland later this year, subject to our state of play, and on till next year, wherever you may be. We don’t know of course when our country will again be open for business, but meanwhile, and this is is so ironic, our beautiful country has become ever more so, with nature playing an ever increasing role in “ruling the roost”!
Scotland is open for twelve months of the year, of course subject to weather conditions during the winter months, and I believe for 2020, more and more visitor attractions will stay open later to welcome our guests, who perhaps are contemplating a later visit than usual. Myself and Marian were on the island of Raasay in early November last year, in wall to wall sunshine  – it was just a paradise (see photo), whilst a tour was done around the Highlands one January. Yes, daylight ends at around 4 pm, but more time for cosy evenings, snug roaring fires, excellent food and tastings…

Christmas and New Year are both wonderful in Scotland, and Edinburgh has one of the biggest Hogmanay parties in the world.

To all those in other parts of the UK who have been contemplating a visit to Scotland – rather than flying off elsewhere, why not come and visit us, whenever we are able to open our doors?

“We followed in your path and many new ones with Iain. We had perfect weather and saw gorgeous landscapes and a number of new properties. Truly one of the world’s great countries.” Richard Almeida Chicago and Charleston USA

Planning Your Tour

Let us plan your visit with private guided tours of Scotland, whether history including castles and palaces, general sightseeing, golf tours, galleries and museums, genealogy and the organisation of family reunions, architecture, whisky distilleries, boat cruises, and Outlander Jacobite tours.

We also work in co-operation with Hike Scotland who offer organised hikes around the Highland 500, Orkney, Faroes, the Outer Hebrides, Skye and Loch Lomond

Private Tours of Scotland

We are ready to assist you in any way we can in making your visit to Scotland a memorable one, from a half day up to weeks. Reel is able to organise any type of tour in line with customer need. We cover the whole of Scotland including the Highlands and Islands; everything can be arranged including appropriate accommodation, ferries, and all requirements for each specific tour.

Personal Guided Tours

Reel Private Tours specialise in small groups of up to 8 people, organising private guided tours to any part of Scotland. So if you’re looking for a Harry Potter location tour we can take you to Alnwick Castle, Edinburgh and Glenfinnan. We can meet clients arriving or departing by cruise ship at Edinburgh, Gourock or Invergordon. And we also meet and drop off at airports.

About Your Vehicle

My vehicle is comfortable, great for viewing and has ample luggage space and accommodates up to 8, but for longer tours for comfort reasons I would suggest limiting to 6.
