We have a new arrangement in place for 2019 with St Hilda Sea Adventures, where Reel organise the vehicle to the departure point, perhaps with a personalised itinerary, and hand you over to the two small ship cruises aboard St Hilda and Seahorse II.
St Hilda’s accommodation consists of a spacious double en-suite and the price for that cabin is £260 per person per night; a twin en-suite (toilet and wash-basin) which is £225 per person per night; and a twin cabin in the forepeak (wash-basin), each berth is £160 per night. The two twin cabins are close to the shared toilet and shower rooms which are of a high standard for a yacht. You will find here the accommodation layout: https://www.sthildaseaadventures.co.uk/our-vessels/st-hilda-a-classic-vessel.
St Hilda is an ex-tall ship. She was built in 1973 specifically for sail training with a crew of 20, youngster and adults love to help work the sails. You will also be able to use our own inflatable sea kayak. She has been recently converted to provide accommodation for up to six passengers and this is why she feels so spacious and comfortable.
Seahorse II’s accommodation consists of three single cabins and two twin cabins, all temperature controlled and with a wash-basin. The price per person per night is £225. There are also two luxurious double/twin cabins en-suite. The price per person per night is £290. You will find here the accommodation layout: https://www.sthildaseaadventures.co.uk/our-vessels/seahorse-II-a-small-ship.
Seahorse II (82 feet long and a beamy 23 feet), our proud new small ship, was built to the highest standard for the Norwegian fjords and life in the high northern latitudes. A 10mm Swedish steel hull, air conditioned and heated throughout, and winter sailing for the British Royal Navy for months at a time in the western approaches means that our wee, cruise ship is more than enough for our summer adventures in the Gulf Stream warmed waters of the West Coast of Scotland. Powerful enough to cruise the many spectacular islands and lochs of Scotland’s West Coast yet small enough to anchor in remote and hauntingly beautiful places that the larger passenger ships are unable to visit. On the spacious aft deck (ideal for alfresco dining) we have a powerful little crane for launching our two dinghies, sea kayaks and paddle board. There is also plenty of room for your own wind and kite surfers, bicycles, diving gear, sailing dinghies and anything else you need for a great sea adventure. A bridge full of the best navigational aids, a high foredeck for wildlife spotting and a boat deck for lounging, she is the perfect vessel for your life afloat.
Both vessels can be booked for Private Charter for a maximum of six passengers on St Hilda and eleven passengers on Seahorse II. They provide a unique holiday for all ages. Each day is packed with activities, from learning the basics of seamanship to fishing and swimming or going for wonderful walks on the Hebridean coast but you can also choose to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and extraordinary wildlife from the vessel’s deck.
You can see all our 2019 departure dates on our availability calendar and pricing: https://www.sthildaseaadventures.co.uk/scottish-cruises/calendar/2019. Price includes all meals, fruit, coffee break, afternoon tea, pre-dinner aperitif and wine with dinner and the services of your crew – including sailing/navigating instruction if required.
